Meet Our Leadership Team

Chris Walker, Operator

First an Operator in Tampa, Florida, Chris then took over the Northwoods Mall location in Charleston, SC, in 1999. In 2004 and 2009, respectively, he became the Operator of Chick-fil-A Summerville and Chick-fil-A Goose Creek.

A teacher at heart, Chris is passionate about providing opportunities for emerging leaders beyond the restaurant. Since 2017, Team Members in Chris’s stores have been awarded over $814,500 in college scholarships, eight senior staff leaders have become Chick-fil-A franchisees/Operators, and four have become Chick-fil-A corporate staff. 

Chris also enjoys speaking to the pioneering endeavors of Chick-fil-A, Inc.: drive thru innovation, menu selection, and pricing, just to name a few. 

Over the years, Chris’s strategy for investing in Team Members has changed, but one overall goal has remained the same: to provide an edifying team and guest experience that exceeds monetary value. 

When not working, Chris enjoys kiteboarding, snowboarding, and traveling. He is a two-time graduate of The Citadel (BS, MBA) and lives in Charleston with his wife, Melody, and their four children.
